Jenny Richardson, MSW, LMSW

Jenny believes what matters most is our connections, to ourselves, our stories, our loved ones, and the world around us. Jenny uses a trauma-informed, brain-based, person in environment approach to empower the clients and families she gets to work with. This relational stance supports the client’s goals while striving to make sure they feel seen, safe, and secure in their work together.

Jenny graduated from the John Wesley Honors College at Indiana Wesleyan University with a double major in Psychology and Social Work and worked for many years with individuals facing severe and profound mental health diagnoses, In her work in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric emergency rooms, and transitional living programs she found a passion helping people navigate their relationships. It was through her experience and training as an adoptive parent she was introduced to attachment work and Trust Based Relational Intervention. Jenny returned to school obtaining a Masters of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University and has post graduate training in Theraplay and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Jenny brings a focus in areas of adoption, attachment, emotional regulation, trauma and complex trauma to her work.
